Falling in love is easy, staying in love is hard.
It’s true, right?
You fall in love and the butterflies are raging through your stomach. Being with your new lover is the only thing you want… If possible, every minute of the day.
But then, after a while you get used to each other. The pink glasses start to wear off and you see each other’s flaws.
Every relationship gets to this point. It’s the time were couples have to make the conscious decision to work on their relationship.
Read and have a think about the following quote:
“Love is a verb. Love – the feeling – is a fruit of love, the verb.” – Stephen Covey
I believe that this quote hits the nail on the head.
To me, it shows that if you work on your relationship and show love to your partner, then you will feel love for him or her.
To help you stay in love, here are 20 ways to work on your relationship after the butterflies have gone.
1. Learn to acknowledge your partner
2. Learn not to use “always” or “never” statements
3. Be patient
4. Encourage your partner to spend time with his or her friends
5. Stick to your commitments
6. Put your partner first
7. Support your partner’s goals and dreams
8. Laugh together
9. Be thoughtful
10. Resolve conflicts productively
11. Learn your partners love language
12. Try new things
13. Give appreciation
14. Connect throughout the day
15. Let your partner win

Are you ready to keep the love in your relationship alive?
There you go…
A list of 21 great ways that you can use to create a feeling of love for your partner.
Remember that love is a verb! If you just read through this list and think “Oh Yeah, Interesting” and do nothing, then nothing will change.
This week, I challenge you to pick just ONE thing of this list and start doing it. For example, you could pick number 15: Let your partner win.
If during this week you get into an argument with your partner then let him or her win. Be humble. Even if you are 100% sure that you’re right! You’ll be amazed by the positive effects it will have on your relationship.
When you’ve done it for a week, pick another thing of the list for the week after.
Let me know how it goes and don’t forget to share your favourite way to keep the love alive in your relationship in the comment section down below.
